I used to get so annoyed at this: When filling in a form on my Mac, I used to get frustrated when the computer wouldn’t move accurately between the sections of the form. It would tab to some sections, but not to others.

Then I worked out what to do:

What to do:

This little tip is short and sweet. It takes almost no effort, and almost always solves the problem.

Here we go:

  • Go to System Preferences
  • Open Keyboard
  • Open the Shortcuts pane
  • Look to the bottom of the page for the words: “Full Keyboard Access: In windows and dialogs, press Tab to move keyboard focus between:”
  • Underneath you’ll find two radio buttons and should activate All controls.
  • Now you should find your Mac will more accurately fill in forms.

*** You can also toggle between the two settings (Text boxes and lists only, and All controls) by pressing Control + F7.

Hope this helps.
