Watching Apple since 1999. I don't say what they should do. I say what they might do. They sometimes do.

This isn’t a court case. The banks are arguing they should be permitted by a business regular that they should be able to form a cartel to negotiate with Apple and boycott Apple Pay together for up to three years.

The only problem is that one Australian Bank has already broken ranks and is enjoying a significant increase in its new account sign ups.

Apple has all the power here. Australian Banks have gouged consumers for years.

If you check today’s news reports, Apple has just signed an agreement with another major financial group – Crucal – within Australia, resulting in Apple Pay support for more than 30 credit unions and some of the smaller banks.
