Apple store goes dark as event looms

Apple is expected to introduce new iPad Pro models, iMac, MacBook (Air?) and Mac mini devices at a huge event located at the Brooklyn School of Art today at 10am ET — streets in NYC are closing for the show. We’ll be publishing a live event feed right here, so do check back once the event begins.

Apple Store is down

Naturally, Apple has decided to take the Apple online store offline while it sets up the online store with the new products.

What we expect (as detailed here and here)

  • New iMacs
  • New MacBook/MacBook Air successors
  • New Mac mini
  • iPad Pro gets a Face ID refresh
  • Apple Pencil 2
  • There’s a chance of new AirPods, and a very remote hope Apple’s AirPower will show up for service.

Join me here when the event begins for my usual slightly slanted look at what’s announced, some on-the-fly insight and more. You can discuss what happens in the chat room — but do also follow me on Twitter for more information as it happens.

Don’t forget, you can watch the whole event on any Apple device either using its events app or at its website here. You can also watch the show on other platforms (including Twitter), just follow these details. Join the WeMe group for after show discussion.

Watching Apple since 1999. I don't say what they should do. I say what they might do. They sometimes do.
