4 new Apple Intelligence tools emerge

Four forthcoming small Apple Intelligence tools have leaked, and while they do seem useful they do also feel much more like machine intelligence tools, rather than AI. That’s because they all relate to machine vision intelligence, rather than contextual understanding, though perhaps there’s more to how the company intends using all these tools.
What are the new tools?
Allegedly leaked in backend code for iOS 27, the new tools include:
- Nutrition labels: Visual Intelligence will be able to scan food nutrition labels to get more information. This may integrate with the Health app,
- Contacts and numbers: You’ll be able to add printed phone numbers or addresses to your contacts using rh iPhone camera.
- Wallet:Â Apple Wallet will generate digital passes from scans of event tickets or membership cards. Google Wallet already has this,.
- Safari: Apple’s browser will automatically name tab groups for you based on the contents of that group.
I fully expect a lot more AI than this in iOS 27, but these new tools may still provide use,
