Will this be Apple’s big M5 MacBook Pro & iPad Pro upgrade week?

Welcome to what is being hotly-tipped as ‘M5 week’, with speculation the company plans to release iPads and Macs powered by these processors rapidly developing into expectation of imminent release.

The Apple News Machine Mark Gurman has become tells us to anticipate new 14” M5 MacBook Pro and iPad Pros this week.

These will be supported by a processor-upgraded Vision Pro (the last Vision Pro upgrade until Apple’s AR glasses arrive, he also says).

There has been speculation to this effect for weeks and Amazon is still selling M4 Apple laptops at superb discounts. We’re also hearing of shortages of some models – all the classic hints of new machines coming.

These superb new Macs will be even more compelling for a PC market in which Apple is playing a strong part as Windows is closed in favor of Mac.

If there’s an October (November?) surprise, this might be new models of AirTag,HomePod mini and Apple TV to ship, with new Macs, iPad Air, and iPad set for introduction in early 2026.
