MacBook Neo stays on top

If you’re shopping for a MacBook Neo you’re not alone – not only does the lower-cost Mac laptop continue to be the top-selling laptop on Amazon in the US, but word’s out that the waiting list for these devices seems to be improving.
A quick check on the Apple Store shows you’re waiting up to two weeks now before your new MacBook Neo gets delivered, and while that’s two weeks too long for shoppers used to near-instant gratification, that’s still much faster than order fulfilment has been for the last few weeks.
While it is possible this improvement in availability reflects that the new Macs have been available for a little time so most early orders have been fulfilled, the position at the top of the laptop sales charts shows that enthusiasm remains very, very strong.

9to5Mac notes shipping estimates for the product are beginning to improve for the first time since launch. The site puts this down to Apple’s decision to purchase additional A18 Pro chips for these Macs as it faced much higher-than-anticipated demand.
It’s possible, I guess, that those additional chips are now coming online, or – which I think more likely – their imminent arrival means the company has been able to shift more of the stock it has on hand, while diverting it from nations in which sales have potentially not been as strong. Either way, Apple can make these operational decisions safe in the knowledge that additional stock is on the way.

Apple’s breakthrough Mac
Apple really has a hit on its hands with this product – and it knows that. “We were very optimistic about the product before launch, but still underestimated the level of market enthusiasm,” said Apple CEO, Tim Cook recently.
I see it as an ‘iPhone moment’ for the Mac.
That’s why it matters that Cook also described it as the “best launch week ever for first-time Mac customers,” in the company’s history.
Those new Mac users aren’t going anywhere, which points to future demand as these Macs are inevitably upgraded at some point in the future – many may migrate to MacBook Air or Pro as they get more immersed in Apple’s ecosystem.
Which effectively means Apple can anticipate business benefit for years ahead on strength of the popular product – just watch it go on Amazon!
