Apple launches online courses for advanced manufacturing in the US
Apple said it would invest in future manufacturing in the US, now it has taken its promise further with the introduction of online course from the Apple Manufacturing Academy.
Available now, the courses cover a wide range of advanced manufacturing topics, including automation, predictive maintenance, quality control optimization, and machine learning with vision.
Designed by Apple experts and introduced in partnership with Michigan State University (MSU), the free training reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening the advanced manufacturing sector in the US. The initiative is part of Apple’s plan to invest $600 billion in the U.S. economy over the next four years.
What courses are on offer?
Developed by MSU faculty and industry experts from Apple, the online manufacturing training aims to support small- and medium-sized US businesses in innovative business practice and how to exploit advanced technologies.
This initial set of online materials represents the first phase of the Apple Manufacturing Academy curriculum, and will expand in future as the program evolves.
Apple’s Manufacturing Academy also offers professional development training in areas like communication and presentation skills.

The Apple Manufacturing Academy in Detroit opened in August, since then has provided training and consultation to over 80 businesses from across the US.
