New series of music shows come to Vision Pro

An interesting new name just climbed aboard the spatial video train as Blue Frog Immersive launched its own series of music shows for Apple’s Vision Pro devices. It’s an exciting way to give access to really intimate musical performances through the tech.
The app places viewers inside a small, acoustically tuned studio with performances happening right in front of you. Performances were recorded at Blue Frog Studios using dual 8K stereoscopic capture, spatial audio, and a head-tracked Dolby Atmos mix to recreate the feeling of being in the room.
At launch, the experience features six native performances, including GRAMMY-nominated artist Sugaray Rayford, Miss Emily, and Dawson Gray, ; the jazz-funk of The Wild Blue Herons; and Steelin’ in the Years, a heartfelt homage to Steely Dan, with more shows to be added regularly.
“Blue Frog Studios evolved as a home for intimate concert experiences, which we then decided to share with very high-quality video,” explains Blue Frog Studios founder Kelly Breaks, who decided to dive into immersive concerts after being inspired by the Apple AR headset. “The real feel and energy of musicians deep in their groove is what we want to convey, and immersive technology and the Apple Vision Pro get us there.”
