India’s InMobi acquires veteran iOS ads tech company, MobileAction

It strikes me as very interesting  and potentially well-timed to benefit from Apple’s growing ads business that India’s InMobi has announced the acquisition of San Francisco, US-based company, MobileAction. It hints at activity ahead for advertising across Apple’s platforms.
That’s because InMobi is a global tech company focused in part on future agentic commerce and advertising, while MobileAction is an AI-powered platform that helps developers and advertisers reach new iOS app users. It also means, for good or for ill, you can expect increasingly accurate ads across your entire online experience.
“As the advertising ecosystem shifts toward AI-led intelligence and platform-native expertise, marketers need partners who can deliver both scale and precision,” said Rohit Dosi, Vice President & General Manager, InMobi. “
Aykut Karaalioglu, Founder & CEO, MobileAction said, “I am confident our shared vision for the future of agentic AI-driven advertising — spanning innovation, data-driven decision-making, and customer impact — will allow us to accelerate our roadmap and deliver even greater value to marketers worldwide.”
Founded in 2013, MobileAction was a pioneer in AI-driven app analytics best known for its expertise in Apple Ads and App Store Optimization. It’s clients include Google,Meta, Doordash, Square and others. The acquisition is expected to help boost InMobi’s growth across the iOS ecosystem and carve out a bigger market for its agentic ads AI, Glance. MobileAction already has access to data spanning over 90 million creatives, 6 million keywords, 5 million apps, 100,000 publishers, and 500,000 advertisers.
Following the close of the transaction, MobileAction will continue to operate as a dedicated platform, with its team across the United States, Europe and Turkey joining the InMobi Group. InMobi plans to invest further in MobileAction’s product innovation and global go-to-market efforts, with a strong focus on the US, APAC, MENA and other global markets.
