Apple is ready for the London Marathon

Apple has announced some free events in London to celebrate the TCS London Marathon, which it is an official partner for. It’s a good partnership, given the extent to which Apple products and services, including Apple Watch, iPhone, AirPods Pro 3, and Apple Fitness+, help athletes optimize their marathons.
The race, which takes place April 26, is the biggest in the world with over a million people attempting to join it this year. Athletes from across the planet will take part, and some may well be using an Apple Watch.
Apple Store locations in London will be on hand to support runners in the capital, with events and activities at Apple Brompton Road and beyond set to excite and bring motivation during marathon week.
In the week before the race, Apple will host the first-of-its-kind PE with Apple: Hour of Play event for students from six schools across the Wandsworth borough. UK fitness icon Joe Wicks and Apple Fitness+ trainers Cory Wharton-Malcolm and Kim Ngo will lead a series of PE-style activities for kids in partnership with Apple’s nonprofit community partner Enable.
Apple has also announced the following events:

Radcliffe and Thompson will talk training, race-day mindset, and the role of technology for runners as they close out their “Road to London Marathon” series. They’ll be joined by Apple Fitness+ trainer and London running community figure Cory Wharton-Malcolm. Whilst capacity is limited, sign-up is available at apple.co/run-club-live.
Marathon Day with Apple Music
Sunday, 26 April, on-course
The energy keeps flowing toward the finish line. Apple Music will bring the motivation and inspiration on marathon day, with notable artists and DJs stationed at a key moment on the marathon course. The company has also published special Apple Music playlists for the event.
Launching April 20, Apple Fitness+ introduces a new program called 4 Weeks of Strength for Runners: A Collaboration with Strava. Led by Fitness+ trainers Kyle Ardill and Kim Ngo, alongside Hellah Sidibe and Kayla Jeter — both ultramarathon runners and celebrated athletes on Strava — the program is designed to help improve performance, running form, and stability.
