Apple announces Oct. 13 “Welcome Home” event

Apple has announced a launch event on October 13, to do so it has eschewed the traditional ways to invite people to such things, no printed invitations, press campaign, and a few emails.

Mostly it’s said it with a Tweet featuring a video with a rainbow Apple logo being sewn onto material and a cheesy soundtrack.

The company says it will hold an “Apple Experience” in Tribeca in New York at 9am ET on October 13. “Additional details to help you prepare for arrival will be share closer to the experience,” the company said.
