Beautifully designed writing app, Ulysses, gets big update

Ulysses has at last added Tables support.
Powerful writing application, Ulysses, has added one of the most requested and biggest features in years: Tables support.
A writing app from better designers?
If you’ve not come across the application before, Ulysses is a frequently acclaimed power tool of a writing app that proves productivity solutions don’t need to be poorly designed.
It works by getting out of your way, while also offering all the essential tools most writers need — not least the capacity to combine notes and research with the final result. The app first came into being in 2003, has been regularly maintained ever since and has also been recognized with an Apple Design Award
The addition of table support extends across all the devices and platforms supported by the application. It means you can build and edit tables in the editor and the support extends to importing, exporting, or publishing that content.
Get out the way, get more ahead
“Ulysses is an app that helps you focus and eliminate distractions, but tables are usually a chore to work with and just… ugly,” the developers told us.
The new table features join the host of writing tools the app already provides, such as it’s built-in proof-reader, grammar checker and more. It’s also powerful and flexible enough for novelists, and includes tools to publish to ODF, Word, eBooks and even a blog.
