VIDEO: Watch Apple’s Maya Angelou Olympics 2016 ad

Here’s the new Apple ad for the Olympics 2016, featuring words from Maya Angelou. c/o CNN Money

It’s an incredibly well-timed plea for diversity and understanding, itself what the Olympics Games is intended to be all about. Not only is it topical in that sense, but also in that it follows scant hours since Apple published its latest employment data. And, of course, the spirits of prejudice and hatred are way too strong globally these days.

So here’s some words from Angelou’s ‘Human Family’ poem used in the spot, which you can read in its entirety here. If this is the first time you’ve come across the poet and you would like to buy some of her world class work, click here.

between each sort and type,
but we are more alike, my friends,
than we are unalike.”

Jonny Evans
