Rumor: Apple orders initial 30m iPhone 9 units
Apple has ordered a total 2020 volume of 30 million iPhone 9 units, claims MyDrivers citing sources in the supply chain.
It’s a rumor, rumor, rumor
The latest claims come as Apple is expected to introduce a new iPhone 8 replacing device to fill out the lower end of the company’s smartphone range, but it emanates from a single source and – let’s be honest – while everyone seems to think this device is on the way there’s no guarantee at all that this actually is the case.
In addition to which the ongoing coronavirus outbreak may interrupt the supply chain, or worse, depending on the actual severity of the virus, which has killed over 200 people as of 2pm EST Jan 31.
What is the iPhone 9?
This could delay the anticipated launch of the still mythical device.
It seems clear Apple has high hopes with its 30 million initial build for the iPhone 9, a device which will apparently feature:
- 4.7-inch LCD display.
- Apple A13 Bionic chipset.
- Touch ID home button.
- Single lens camera.
- $399 price.
A hugely upgraded iPad Pro, AirPods like over the ear headphones and Apple’s rumoured tag device are also on the way, recent reports have claimed.
Updated: TWO HUGE ERRORS. iPhone 9, not 11. 4.7 inch, not 7-inch.
I am so very sorry for that.

What happened to proofreading and spellcheck?
Proofreading went to the pub. Spellcheck wanted dinner.
I failed and I am sorry.
