Apple co-founder judges international awards

“I decided to judge this because innovation is so key in my life,” says Steve Wozniak.

Apple co-founder, Steve Wozniak will once again be one of the leading judges for the global technology Talent Unleashed Awards 2017.

Wozniak joins Sir Richard Branson and others to judge the awards, with a big event at the Museum of London.

Speaking at the 2016 awards, global judge Steve Wozniak said:

“The Talent Unleashed Awards are there to represent people who have had ideas, started companies, and created products that do good for society,” he said. “I decided to judge this because innovation is so key in my life – especially people who are humble and just have an idea – and I love to follow good ideas.”

Now in its fifth year, the awards founder and executive chairman, Richard Earl, said:

“Innovation is in our DNA – we started these awards five years ago to support the brightest technology ideas and talent of today, and inspire the game changing entrepreneurs of tomorrow.”

The awards are free to enter for technology leaders and start-ups from across world, with entries closing on August 31. Seven winners receive a trip to Silicon Valley, and a private lunch with Steve Wozniak

The categories are:

  • Best Idea – One to Watch!
  • Best Start Up – Social or Community Impact
  • Best Start Up – Tech or Digital Innovation
  • Most Disruptive – Technology or Digital Leader
  • Most Progressive – Workplace Leader

Last year’s winners included: oDocs Eye Care, Clevertar, Therapy Box, ResApp Health, and Neal Cross.

There was a real focus on digital health among those winners. I do somehow wonder if this year’s focus might be AR.

Watching Apple since 1999. I don't say what they should do. I say what they might do. They sometimes do.
